Overview
Reddo Transport are an exciting transport company with a vision, we aim to provide outstanding professional transport services locally in the North Yorkshire area. We are seeking skilled professional HGV operatives to join our team, working out of our new depot at Sherburn in Elmet. We are looking for committed team players who want to feel like part of the business.
We have openings for experienced class 2 drivers or flexible class 1 operatives (pay rates reflect the licence carried at all times). We will also consider newly passed and we will help to integrate and gain experience and confidence behind the wheel.
We are specifically looking for drivers who will operate our new fleet with pride and treat their truck like their own. We are offering competitive rates of pay and a friendly professional environment in which we can all grow together.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety and efficiency while delivering goods to various locations. This role requires expertise in commercial driving, particularly with curtain side Tail lift vehicles, and a dedication to providing excellent service as a delivery driver.
Responsibilities
Safely and efficiently operate HGV's while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
Transport goods to designated locations in a timely manner, ensuring all deliveries are completed as scheduled.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
Load and unload cargo, securing it appropriately for transport.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, and any incidents that occur during transport.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
Follow all company policies and procedures related to safety and compliance.
Requirements
Valid commercial driving licence (C).
Experience Operating Tail lift vehicles is highly desirable.
Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role within the transportation industry.
Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and traffic laws.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet delivery deadlines.
Excellent communication skills for interacting with team members and clients.
Physical stamina to handle loading and unloading tasks, as well as long hours on the road.

Pay: £14.00-£15.50 per hour
