We are hiring a HGV Class 1 Driver to join our growing team. The role is general haulage, delivering a variety of loads including palletised goods, ambient food products, timber and paper. Full training on specific load types can be provided where required.

Shift Pattern:
We recognise that life outside of work is important. As part of our commitment to supporting flexible working, wellbeing and a healthy work-life balance , we offer part-time Driver opportunities working 2, 3 or 4 days per week . Our preferred shift pattern is Friday + Saturday, but w e can be flexible on the days worked between Monday and Saturday (days or tramping/nights out).

Salary:
We offer competitive hourly rates with enhanced weekend pay (paid monthly)

• Monday–Friday: £15.03 per hour
• Saturday: £16.53 per hour
• Sunday: £17.53 per hour

Additional payments:

• Early start payment: £12.76 per shift
  (Paid if your shift starts at 03:00 or earlier, as requested by the traffic office)
• Night-out allowance: £26.20 (tax-free)

• Safely operate a HGV Class 1 vehicle
• Deliver and collect goods according to planned routes and schedules
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects promptly
• Ensure loads are secure and transported safely
• Complete delivery paperwork and digital records accurately
• Comply with EU/UK drivers’ hours, tachograph, and Working Time Directive rules
• Maintain cleanliness and roadworthiness of the vehicle
• Communicate effectively with transport planners, customers, and depot staff

• Full UK Driving Licence with C+E entitlement
• Digital tachograph card
• Driver Qualification Card (CPC)
• Flexibility to work Monday to Saturday
• No more than 6 penalty points (certain endorsements not accepted, e.g. DR)
