About the Role   Recruit A Driver is currently recruiting experienced  Class 1 Container Drivers  for a well-established client based in Leeds.
The client is currently looking for drivers for  both day and night shifts , offering ongoing Monday to Friday work.
The roles primarily involve  container movements and box swap work , with drivers preparing trailers and containers for ongoing operations. There may also be occasional  trunking or low multi-drop work , depending on operational requirements.
There is  no manual handling , making these roles ideal for drivers looking for straightforward driving work.

The Role    Complete container movements and box swap work safely and efficiently
Prepare trailers and containers for ongoing operations
Complete occasional trunking or low multi-drop work when required
Carry out daily vehicle safety checks and report any defects
Complete transport paperwork accurately
Maintain high standards of vehicle care and road safety
Comply with Driver Hours and Working Time Regulations
Day Drivers    Monday to Friday
Typically 06:00 start
£16.50 per hour
Primarily container driving
Occasional low multi-drop or trunking work
Night Drivers    Monday to Friday
Typically 17:00 start
£17.50 per hour
Container movements and box swap work
Preparing trailers and containers for the following day's operations
Occasional trunking or low multi-drop work
Requirements    Valid UK Class 1 (C+E) Licence held for a minimum of 2 years
Recent Class 1 driving experience
Container experience preferred
Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card
Valid Digital Tachograph Card
Maximum 6 penalty points
No DD, DR or TT endorsements (other endorsement codes may be considered)
Must be aged 25 or over for insurance purposes
Reliable, professional and safety-focused approach
