Warehouse Operative – Job Details
Location: Leeds, LS11 0LR
Pay Rate: £12.95 per hour
Working Hours: Sunday: 08:00 – 14:00
Job PurposeThe Warehouse Operative plays a key role in supporting the efficient operation of the warehouse. This role involves performing a variety of tasks across different areas, including the automated picking system, medical bulk storage, fridge and secure areas. You will be responsible for accurately picking and packing customer orders, ensuring all work is completed efficiently and meets agreed company performance standards.
Where required, you may also support transport‑related activities.
- Accurately pick and assemble items using provided pick documentation
- Ensure quantities picked are correct and meet order requirements
- Use appropriate packaging and handle products carefully to prevent damage
- Pick and process hospital orders
- Prepare special‑check orders for verification
- Carry out picking tasks across multiple areas, including medical bulk, refrigerated goods and secure storage
- Maintain full awareness of Health & Safety procedures at all times
- Keep the warehouse clean, organised, and free from waste
- Previous warehouse experience (desirable but not essential)
- Strong attention to detail and high visual accuracy
- Good verbal communication skills
- Basic written communication skills
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills
- A customer‑focused approach
This role involves regular manual handling activities, including lifting and bending, which are essential to the position.
