Warehouse Operative

Driver Hire Southampton are currently recruiting for a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Operative to join a successful and growing business based in the Winchester area. Our client is an established supplier and distributor of cleaning, hygiene and janitorial products , supplying businesses across a wide range of sectors. Their product range includes cleaning chemicals, PPE, paper products, gloves, waste sacks, cleaning equipment and other janitorial supplies.

The Role Working as part of a busy warehouse team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day handling, storage and movement of stock, helping to ensure customer orders are processed accurately and efficiently.

Key responsibilities include:

Loading and unloading deliveries Checking incoming stock Picking and packing customer orders Moving stock around the warehouse Putting stock away into the correct locations Loading vehicles for dispatch Carrying out stock checks and maintaining stock accuracy Keeping the warehouse clean, tidy and organised Following all health & safety procedures Working as part of a team to meet daily targets Supporting other areas of the warehouse when required About You The successful candidate will ideally have:
Previous warehouse experience A reliable and hardworking attitude Good attention to detail The ability to work efficiently in a busy environment Good teamwork and communication skills

Experience with picking, packing and goods-in would be advantageous Forklift licence/experience is desirable but not essential A willingness to undertake a hands-on role What's on Offer? £28,000 - £30,000 per annum Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 6:00pm Overtime available Temp-Perm Position Training and development opportunities Friendly and supportive working environment If you are an experienced Warehouse Operative looking for a stable Monday-to-Friday position with the opportunity to earn additional money through overtime, we'd like to hear from you.
