Diamond Contractors is looking for an experienced Construction Project Manager to manage fast-paced commercial construction projects from start to finish.

We are a woman-owned, family-run general contractor specializing in retail construction, remodels, rollouts and other commercial projects across the country. Our projects may run from a few weeks to several months, with Project Managers often coordinating multiple active projects and quick-turn nationwide programs at the same time.

We are looking for someone who can keep a lot of moving pieces organized, recognize problems before they become costly, and keep projects moving.

Responsibilities
  • Manage commercial construction projects from turnover through completion and closeout.
  • Review plans, specifications, scopes of work and client requirements.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules and coordinate subcontractors, vendors, materials and field teams.
  • Manage multiple active projects and changing priorities while keeping schedules, budgets and deliverables on track.
  • Communicate directly with clients, subcontractors, vendors, superintendents and internal teams.
  • Review and negotiate subcontractor and vendor proposals, identifying scope gaps, exclusions and potential conflicts.
  • Monitor project costs, change orders and overall financial performance.
  • Track procurement and long-lead materials to help prevent project delays.
  • Identify schedule, budget and field issues early and take ownership of getting them resolved.
  • Coordinate permitting, inspections and closeout requirements as needed.
  • Travel to project locations throughout the United States for job checks and site visits.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience managing commercial construction projects.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, sequencing, materials and project management.
  • Ability to read and understand construction drawings, specifications and scopes of work.
  • Experience coordinating subcontractors and multiple construction trades.
  • Strong scheduling, budgeting, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable with technology and proficient with Microsoft Office and construction/project-management software.
  • Familiarity with ADA requirements is strongly preferred.
  • Willingness to travel nationwide as projects require.
