RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work on 36-bed Medical/Surgical unit with telemetry monitoring

• Patient ratios of 1:6 for both day and night shifts

• Every other weekend scheduling requirement

• Floating policy applies - may float to orthopedic or telemetry units based on competencies

• Work with technician support for every 10-12 patients

• Equipment includes Dynamap (Welch Allyn), telemetry monitoring with nurses station screens, and Alaris IV pumps

• Documentation system:
Meditech

• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, Basic Dysrhythmia, NIH Stroke Scale certification

• Must demonstrate strong time management, IV start skills, and patient experience abilities

• Patient experience requirements include bedside shift report, hourly safety rounds, AIDET communication, and personal patient connections

• Dress code:
Charcoal gray top and bottom scrubs required

• Unit does not perform procedures requiring conscious sedation
