The Opportunity
Saint Luke’s East in Lee’s Summit is seeking a Pre-Op/PACU RN to join their Perianesthesia team. In this position, you will provide pre‑procedural and post‑procedural care for inpatients and outpatients undergoing procedures in the Main Operating Room, hospital‑based GI suites, and select cases within the Radiology Department. Surgical specialties seen include Bariatrics, ENT, General, Gynecology/Obstetrics, Spinal Neurosurgery, Orthopedics, Plastics, Podiatry, Urology, Urology‑Gynecology, Vascular, and Robotics.
Procedural specialties seen include Gastroenterology, Pulmonology, Cardiology, and Interventional Radiology.
Part‑Time Days, three 10‑hour shifts per week, plus call shifts.
The Work- Provides pre‑operative and post‑operative care for inpatient and outpatient procedures.
- Utilizes the nursing process.
- Performs patient care, delegating patient care tasks and supervising other patient care staff.
- Coordinates the plan of care for a group of assigned patients and consults with other members of the health care team when indicated to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Demonstrates proficiency and abides by policies, rules, guidelines and procedures.

Experience:
1 year Advanced Cardiac Life Support – American Heart Association or Red Cross, Registered Nurse (KS) – National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NURSYS), Registered Nurse (MO) – National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NURSYS), Associate Degree.
