American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / IR Technologist with 1+ year of specialty experience to support a cardiovascular and interventional radiology program.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in Cath Lab/IR specialty
• Active license required if applicable
• Certifications from AHA or ARC accepted, with no certifications expiring within the first 30 days of assignment
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Responsibilities

• Cath Lab and IR unit supporting both diagnostic and interventional procedures
• Cath Lab procedures include left and right heart catheterizations, pacemaker insertions, intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP) placement, and Impella device placement and support
• IR procedures include GI bleed embolizations, pulmonary embolism thrombectomies, kyphoplasties, drain placements, port placements, and additional IR procedures as required
• Monday through Friday schedule from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• On-call required 12 days per month, including weekends and holidays
• Scrub, circulate, and monitor during Cath Lab and IR procedures
• Prepare and maintain sterile fields
• Operate imaging equipment and ancillary devices
• Assist physicians with device preparation, placement, and troubleshooting
• Respond to emergent cases while on call
• Ensure compliance with radiation safety and infection control standards
• Provide high-quality patient care before, during, and after procedures
• Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates will not be considered
