Position Overview

Cook – Part Time – $18.00 to $20.00 per hour

Shift: Friday & Saturday, 10:00 am – 6:00 pm

Responsibilities
  • Prepare all menu items according to established standards and recipes, ensuring exceptional quality food that is attractively presented in a timely fashion.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment by following all health protocols, including proper hygiene, food temperature controls, and safe food handling practices.
  • Communicate with residents to understand their preferences and needs, and participate in resident orientations as a culinary connector.
Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English; able to communicate with residents.
  • Current Food Handlers Card as required by the Department of Health.
  • Demonstrated leadership, training, and supervisory skills.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills with management, professional, and support staff.
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop all day; capable of lifting or moving up to 50 pounds.
  • Comfortable with close contact to extreme temperatures, including cooking surfaces and walk‑in freezers.
  • Available to work outdoors for events, as needed.
  • Successfully cleared by a criminal background check.
