Aquatics supervisor

Lee’s Summit Parks and Recreation is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Aquatics Supervisor to join the dynamic team at J. Thomas Lovell, Jr. Community Center and Summit Waves Aquatic Center. This position will be working under the general direction of the Aquatics Manager. Responsibilities include the daily operations and maintenance of the indoor aquatic facility located at the J.

Thomas Lovell, Jr. Community Center and at Summit Waves Outdoor Aquatic Center. Responsibilities include staffing of programs and activities, training and supervision of lifeguard and program staff, developing programs, and the staffing for the welcome desk and food and beverage operations at the outdoor aquatic center.

Minimum qualifications include Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Parks and Recreation Administration, Education or a related field required. Minimum of 1-year experience in one or more of the following: pool operations, aquatic staff development, food and beverage operations and aquatic programming required. Candidates must be at least 18 years of age. Preferred candidates will have Aquatic Facility Operator or Certified Pool Operator certification, Water Safety Instructor certification and Certified Parks and Recreation Professional.
