Bookkeeper

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support the daily accounting operations of a dealership in Leesburg, Florida. This contract opportunity with permanent potential is ideal for someone who is comfortable managing financial records, keeping transactions accurate, and working confidently in Quick Books Online. The person in this role will help maintain organized books while supporting core accounting processes across payables, receivables, and tax-related tasks.

Responsibilities:

- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities for the dealership, ensuring financial records are complete and up to date.

- Process vendor invoices and payments while maintaining accurate accounts payable records.

- Track incoming customer payments and follow up on outstanding balances to support accounts receivable functions.

- Prepare and file sales and use tax information in accordance with applicable requirements.

- Maintain the general ledger by recording transactions accurately and reviewing entries for consistency.

- Reconcile bank accounts and investigate discrepancies to keep balances aligned with financial records.

- Use Quick Books Online to enter, organize, and monitor accounting data across daily operations. Requirements - Proven experience performing bookkeeping duties in a detail-oriented business environment.

- Hands-on proficiency with Quick Books Online for routine accounting and recordkeeping tasks.

- Working knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance.

- Experience preparing or supporting sales and use tax reporting.

- Ability to complete bank reconciliations accurately and on a regular basis.

- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain organized and reliable financial records.
