Overview
There are three cath labs at UF Health’s Leesburg Hospital and 1 Electrophysiology Lab. We are searching for someone who is passionate about elevating their clinical skillset and value their professional experience they will acquire while working. At Leesburg Hospital, there are a lot of complex interventional cases and structural heart cases. The Providers are excited about the field and love to share their knowledge with their staff.
This is a close-knit Cath Lab where collaboration and teamwork is celebrated with state-of-art Cath Lab technology and medical devices.
The Cath Lab CVT, under the direction the of the director/charge person, monitors procedures, including all diagnostic and interventional coronary and peripheral catheterization studies, ensures safe patient care, and works as a scrub assistant.
Qualifications- Education
- Associate's Degree in Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, or Respiratory Therapy
- In Lieu of education requirements, a minimum of five (5) years’ experience and:
- Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Certification (Required within 12 months of hire)
- Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) Certification (Required within 12 months of hire)
- Licensure/Certification/Registration
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification (preferred)
- If no ARRT, then one of the following licenses or certifications:
- FL Certified Radiologic Technologist license
- FL Registered Respiratory Therapist license
- Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Certification
- Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) Certification
- any of the four license/certifications above within 12 months of hire if no degree in the applicable fields
- BLS required
- ACLS required
