Medical Assistant;

The Medical Assistant is responsible for assisting providers in the delivery of healthcare and patient care management. Greet and show patients to examination rooms.

• Obtain and accurately record patient medical history and reason for visit.
• Assist providers as they examine and treat patients and assist with procedures as necessary.
• Perform tasks such as doing wound checks, giving injections, removing sutures and notifying patients of biopsy results.
• Experience preferred but willing to train the right person.

• Assisting Physician in Mohs Surgery providing quality care to patients
• Maintain patients’ medical records
• Review medical history
• Obtain appropriate consents
• Send in prescriptions
  
  Perform patient call backs
• Schedule Surgeries
• Obtain Pre-Authorizations

• Certified Surgical Tech Preferred (but willing to train in house the right person)
• At least one year of Dermatology experience
• Surgical Experience
• Cosmetic and Plastic Surgical Experience
• Knowledge of vital signs is required
• Working knowledge of dermatologic surgery and sterile technique
• Must have knowledge of medical terminology and be computer literate
• Must be a team player and dedicated to patient care
