Patient Registration Coordinator

Job SummaryThis position performs clerical and administrative services in greeting, registering, and admitting patients in a healthcare facility. The coordinator identifies the best methods to schedule patient appointments and ensures smooth intake processes.
Responsibilities- Complete the pre‑registration process for all new clients and schedule appointments, including orientation of new patients.
- Monitor all patient activities on center premises and provide customer service as a point of contact for patient inquiries.
- Collect co‑payments and manage patient financial responsibility at the time of service.
- Enter all necessary demographics, billing, and clinical information into the registration system accurately and timely.
- Maintain strong communication with the Program Director, physicians, and nursing staff regarding intakes.
- Verify insurance benefits and obtain prior authorization as necessary.
- Perform administrative tasks including answering phones, checking and delivering mail, maintaining supply inventory, anticipating supply needs, ordering supplies, and verifying receipts.
- Safeguard confidentiality and protect business operations.
- Collaborate with the Clinic Operations Team to ensure individualized goals are met.
- Adhere to service policy and principles of CMG/New Seasons.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Education:
High School Diploma or GED. - Required Knowledge:
Strong customer service background, knowledge of electronic health record systems, and medical insurance. - Experience:
Minimum 1 year as a receptionist and cashier or related role;
Minimum 1 year of healthcare experience. - Skills:
Ability to read, write legibly, comprehend verbal and written information; basic computer literacy; effective communication; ability to analyze complex documents; ability to present information to management and public groups. - Physical Demands:
Finger dexterity for writing, operating calculator, telephone, keyboard; ability to hear normal conversations; average visual acuity; sedentary work with occasional lifting up to 10 pounds. - Core Competencies:

High School Diploma;
Experience with insurance verification, billing.
