Responsibilities

• Under the direction of the Department Manager and in association with the radiologists, the technologist conducts themselves in a professional manner, responding to patient needs and supporting colleagues and associates in providing quality patient care.
• Under the direction of the supervisor, this position must perform all functions related to multiple modalities: including CT or X‑ray and general radiology technologist duties.
• The CT/X‑ray technologist performs services in accordance with an accepted standard of practice and demonstrates expertise in minimizing radiation exposure to the patient, self, and other members of the health‑care team.

Qualifications

• Education
  • Post‑High School Special Training
  • Graduate of an accredited school of radiology
  • Cross‑trained in CT scan
• Licensure/Certification/Registration
  • State of FL Certified Radiologic Technologist General Radiographer qualifications license required (Computer Tomography qualifications preferred)
  • ARRT(R) required
  • ARRT(CT) preferred
  • BLS required
• Special Skills/Qualifications/Additional Training/Experience Required
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
