• Performs skin punctures to obtain blood specimens for laboratory testing.
• Responsible for prompt, accurate processing of test requisitions, accurate charging, registering and ordering tests for outpatients, informing techs of stats and other timed or urgent testing.
• Telephone patients, physicians and nursing units when required.
• Maintains neat and organized collection trays, collection areas and work areas.
• Persons in this position are expected to demonstrate logical, professional behaviors under demanding and stressful conditions.
• National Phlebotomy Certification preferred.

• High school education / GED.
• Phlebotomy Certification preferred.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
