Eye South Partners is located in Leesburg, Florida. Our Total Eye Care Surgery Center delivers a patient‑centered cataract and ophthalmic surgical experience. We seek a dedicated Registered Nurse to support our surgical teams and provide exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities- Follow and complete assignments from the Clinical Director and providers.
- Collaborate with disciplines to develop coordinated outcomes and interventions.
- Assist in surgical set‑up for various surgeons.
- Support and maintain a safe patient‑care environment.
- Ensure operating rooms are clean, safe, and sanitary.
- Prepare surgery suites for procedures.
- Follow universal precautions when using personal protective equipment.
- Individualize patient care according to health status and surgical procedure.
- Operate equipment and perform technical skills per policies and standards.
- Recognize situations requiring verbal or written communication and follow through with the appropriate parties.
- Monitor surgery inventory and notify when supplies are needed.
- Participate in identifying and developing performance‑improvement focus and criteria in support of the mission, vision, and core values.
- Observe facility policies, procedures, and processes.
- Conduct all job aspects ethically, supporting the organization’s commitment to ethical behavior.
- High school graduate or GED certificate.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
- Active RN license in the state of practice.
- BLS and ACLS certification.
- Current surgical experience (within past 3 years).
- Ability to make sound nursing judgment based on nursing theory.
- Demonstrates primary nurse accountability through coordination, communication, and continuity of patient care.
- Ability to assess, prioritize, plan, and implement direct patient care.
- Assumes responsibility for the competency of practice and seeks professional development and continuing education.
- Working knowledge and experience in hospital or ambulatory surgery center settings, including direct patient care.
- Ability to adhere to the work schedule and manage time appropriately.
- Ability to utilize resources in a timely, organized, and cost‑effective manner.
- Knowledge of patient monitoring equipment.
