Job Purpose
:

The Registered Nurse (RN) at LIFESTREAM BEHAVIORAL CENTER plays a crucial role in providing compassionate and comprehensive care to patients during Shift
3. This position requires a highly skilled and experienced nurse with over 6 years of experience in mental health and behavioral care. The RN will ensure the delivery of high‑quality nursing services, support patient recovery, and promote a safe and therapeutic environment.

• Assess and monitor patient health status by conducting thorough evaluations and implementing individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring accuracy and adherence to protocols.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and ensure a holistic approach to treatment.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding mental health conditions, treatment plans, and coping strategies.
• Document patient information, treatment plans, and progress accurately and promptly in electronic health records.
• Respond to emergencies and provide crisis intervention as needed, maintaining a calm and professional demeanor.
• Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and service delivery.
• Adhere to all regulatory and accreditation standards, ensuring compliance with healthcare policies and procedures.
• Mentor and guide junior nursing staff, fostering a supportive and educational environment.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in mental health nursing.

Required Education
:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited nursing program.
• Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.

Required Experience
:

• Minimum of 6 years of experience working as a Registered Nurse, preferably in a behavioral health setting.
• Proven experience in managing patient care plans and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience in handling crisis intervention and providing support to patients with mental health disorders.

• Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills with the ability to develop effective treatment plans.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.

• Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems and other healthcare management software.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all aspects of patient care.
