Job Role
- Conduct all assigned work in a safe manner, adhering to all applicable safety, environmental and contamination control policies, procedures and regulations. Wear proper personal protective equipment.
- Attend and successfully complete required technician training classes.
- Maintain the necessary set of tools required for job performance to diagnose, disassemble and assemble components to manufacturer’s specifications.
- Diagnose and perform designated repairs on customer or company owned equipment, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic troubleshooting, maintenance and repairs.
- Work in a neat and orderly fashion, constantly looking for ways to improve work methods, work area and safety standards.
- Inspect components to ensure maximum parts are being reused to control repair costs. Complete required documentation using appropriate software to document repairs performed on equipment and account for repair times.
- Monitor job expenses versus repair estimates and ensure the supervisor is aware of any cost overruns prior to job completion.
- Approach work in a positive manner, maintain conduct supportive of the work team, set the standard for others, contribute to team efforts by completing tasks on time while maintaining safety and quality expectations, and train and/or mentor others in the department.
