Heavy equipment mechanic to inspect, repair, and maintain engines and heavy machinery to ensure safe and efficient operation.

Work Styles

We seek to employ a full-time Heavy Equipment Mechanic for our shop located in Leesburg, FL. The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting, servicing, and maintaining our dredges and various construction machinery and focusing on inspecting engines and equipment, providing services, carrying out repairs, and furnishing regular maintenance to our construction fleet. To ensure success in this role, the ideal candidate would possess previous experience working with Construction equipment, must be physically fit, and be capable of resolving concerns on-site.

We will train experienced mechanics to apply their skills in our specialized field of dredging.

Physical Requirements
  • Diagnose defects in a wide range of heavy machinery such as trucks, skid steers, excavators, dredges, pumps, and other related equipment by operating and assessing them.
  • Adjust, replace, and repair faulty parts, clean, lubricate, and provide routine maintenance on all equipment.
  • Set up maintenance and service records for all industrial machines and equipment.
  • Report any malfunctions or damages to the management team promptly.
  • Willingly work in extreme weather conditions, both outdoors and indoors.
  • Ability to move quickly in response to signals and observe details at near and far range.
  • Specialized experience on project sites and a capacity to complete tasks with or without direct supervision
Skill Requirements
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
  • Must be able to pass a background and drug Screening
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
  • Knowledge of Hydraulics and proven work experience as a Diesel or Heavy Equipment Mechanic
  • Must be able to lift 75 lbs and physically capable of doing construction work
