Accountant, Accounts Receivable​/ Collections, Accounting Assistant

Our client, a leading medical device company, is seeking an Accountant to join their team. As an Accounting Manager, you will be part of the finance department supporting the accounts payable and accounts receivable teams. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Accountant

Location: Leesburg, Virginia

Pay Range: $40.00/ $45.00/hour

• Oversee the accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure timely and accurate financial transactions.
• Manage vendor setup, payment processing, and reconciliation of accounts.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline financial operations and improve efficiency.
• Train and mentor junior staff in AP/AR functions and best practices.
• Assist in the transition of financial operations from a shared service center to in-house management.

• Proven experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable management.
• Strong understanding of financial principles and accounting software.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with JD Edwards or similar ERP systems is a plus, but not mandatory.
