This position performs responsible secretarial, administrative, financial and contract support work for the Water Supply Division in the Department of Utilities. Work involves maintaining and updating various types of computerized files; typing and preparing operational reports; processing invoices and bills using the Town’s financial system, and handling correspondence; answering and directing incoming calls; and processing of daily mail. This position also provides support for budget analysis and planning, contract management, purchase order entry, accounts payable and purchase card processing.
Qualifications- High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- Minimum of six (6) years of administrative support experience, including handling a wide array of financial, budgeting and procurement matters, and experience working with top management officials and supervisors in an organization.
- Proficiency in all MS Suite applications and applications appropriate to the position.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to manage priorities and workflow.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.
- Coursework in computers or business administration.
- Experience with financial and asset management software, preferably Tyler Technologies.
- Experience in local government or public utilities.
- Bilingual in English/Spanish.
