Visual Communications & Multimedia Designer

Ursa Nav is an innovative provider of RF Transmitter systems and equipment for a variety of applications including Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT). We design and manufacture cutting‑edge PNT equipment that is trusted by customers around the world.

Ursa Nav ® is seeking a skilled, responsive Visual Communications & Multimedia Designer to support our marketing, technical communications, and multimedia initiatives.

Working for the Director of Marketing, this position requires a versatile designer who can translate complex technical concepts into clear, professional visual content while meeting fast‑paced deadlines. This position is primarily remote, but may occasionally require an in‑person meeting.

• Video Production & Editing:
  Create professional marketing videos, technical explainers, motion graphics, animations, and event content.

• Technical Illustration:
  Develop accurate diagrams, schematics, vector graphics, and product illustrations.

• Graphic Design:
  Produce brochures, presentations, product sheets, trade show materials, and digital content.

• Website Support:
  Create and update website graphics and visual assets. This is not a webmaster position.

• Brand Consistency:
  Maintain professional, technically accurate visuals across all communications.

• Advanced Adobe Creative Suite proficiency, particularly Illustrator and Premiere Pro. After Effects experience strongly preferred.

• Demonstrated experience in video editing, graphic design, and technical illustration.

• Experience with AI‑assisted creative tools such as Runway AI or similar platforms for video production, animation, and multimedia workflows. Candidates must also demonstrate strong hands‑on design and editing skills independent of generative AI.

• Ability to translate complex technical information into clear, engaging visuals.

• Experience designing for professional B2B audiences; technical industry experience preferred.

• Strong responsiveness, reliability, and ability to meet short‑turnaround deadlines.

• Ability to work independently, incorporate feedback, and maintain organized, editable source files.

Experience with engineering, aerospace, defense, telecommunications, or related industries is a plus.

This is a remote/ hybrid, hourly position with a guaranteed minimum number of hours per month. The designer will work directly with Ursa Nav's Director of Marketing and participate in recurring virtual or in‑person meetings, as required.
