Admissions Coordinator – Evening Shift at North Spring Behavioral Healthcare
Responsibilities- Screen and intake patients at the pre‑hospital level to ensure admission criteria are met.
- Answer program inquiries/referrals via telephone, fax, and internet in a timely manner.
- Obtain initial client clinical and funding source information during admission.
- Communicate patient information to the Medical Director, Director of Admissions, and other key staff.
- Conduct the admission process, explain forms, secure signatures, and process signed forms for distribution to appropriate departments.
- Provide follow‑up to referral sources and families regarding patient status.
- Master’s Degree in human services (psychology, social work, counseling) or RN.
- Preferred licensed in Virginia (LPC, LCSW, LMFT).
- Experience working with children and adolescents in a psychiatric setting.
- At least 21 years of age, criminal background check, and pre‑employment drug screen required.
- Good verbal and written skills, ability to rotate shifts and programs as necessary, and confidentiality of resident information maintained.
