Registered Nurse (RN) Labor and Delivery – Part Time Nights
Inova Loudoun Hospital is looking for a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Labor and Delivery unit. This part‑time night shift position requires 2 x 12‑hour shifts per week (7:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.).

- Provide safe, compassionate, evidence‑based nursing care to patients and families.
- Perform thorough patient assessments, interpret data and identify care priorities.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Evaluate patient progress, anticipate changes and adjust care plans as needed.
- Coordinate care and discharge planning with the healthcare team and community resources.
- Advocate for patients’ rights and ensure their needs and preferences are respected.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in compliance with standards.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with physicians, nurses and other disciplines.
- Serve as a clinical resource, mentor and preceptor to peers and new staff.
- Engage in professional growth, continuing education and quality‑improvement initiatives.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing. If holding an associate’s degree, must complete a BSN within five years of the start date.
- One year of experience as an RN in a critical‑care setting, or completion of a critical‑care fellowship.
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association required upon start.
- For critical‑care units: ACLS certification within six months.
- For pediatric units: PALS certification within six months.
- For infusion‑center units: chemo‑card acquisition within three months of hire.
- Licensed or eligible for licensure in Virginia as an RN or an active multi‑state RN license.
- Two years of recent RN inpatient experience on a Labor and Delivery unit.
