Provides licensed nursing services to residents and may supervise other staff positions.
Licensed Practical Nurse LPN – Responsibilities- Responsible for medication administration for residents in compliance with federal and state regulations
- Responsible for admissions of new residents including admission assessments and documentation
- Responsible for completing service plans
- Responsible for clinical system tracking (wounds or infection control) under direction of the Director
- Provide general consultation regarding health‑related concerns within the community
- Communicate effectively and efficiently—listen, speak, read, write
- Notify physicians and/or family of any change in resident’s health and provide proper documentation
- Respond quickly to all emergencies
- Work as part of a team and handle multiple tasks safely and effectively while maintaining close communication with all departments and staff members
- Provide educational meetings for residents and staff; attend all required training, in‑service and staff meetings
- May provide oversight and direction for care staff
- Understand role in the Safety & Disaster Plan
- Maintain confidentiality of resident and prospective resident information
- Maintain a safe working environment through prevention of accidents, preservation of equipment and safe working practices
- Maintain a positive and professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, families and coworkers
- Adhere to all policies and procedures of Morningside Elite Management
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Must be a Licensed Practical Nurse in the state. A bachelor’s degree from a four‑year college or university, or 1–2 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must be CPR certified or willing to become certified
