Position Overview

The Security Shift Supervisor will supervise and coordinate the delivery of quality security services on a designated shift at an assigned customer. Acting as a liaison between site supervisors, Account Manager/Field Operations Manager, and professional security officers, you will supervise staff on your shift, providing coaching, recognition, and discipline within the approved empowerment range.

Schedule & Compensation

Full‑time (Afternoon and Evening shifts). Pay: $20.90 per hour.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate security operations during your shift.
• Act as a liaison between site supervisors, Account Manager/Field Operations Manager, and security officers.
• Provide coaching, recognition, and discipline within approved empowerment limits.
• Prepare written reports and logs.
• Apply initiative and independent judgment within established guidelines.
• Handle common and crisis situations calmly and efficiently.

Qualifications and Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 21 years of age.
• Must possess an active Virginia DCJS License with Firearm endorsement.
• 1+ year of Armed Security, Law Enforcement, or Military experience.
• Effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the general public professionally.
• Must be able to frequently prepare written reports and logs in neat, legible handwriting.
• Must be able to read and understand all operating procedures and instructions.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• Valid Driver’s License with at least one year of driving experience and a clean driving record.
• Successful completion of a background investigation and a pre‑employment drug/alcohol test.
• Intermediate computer skills to utilize wireless technology at client sites.
• Ability to handle common and crisis situations at the client site calmly and efficiently.
• Physical requirements:
  
  work in various environments (cold weather, rain/snow, heat), occasionally lift or carry up to 40 pounds, climb stairs/ramps/ladders, stand or walk on various surfaces for long periods.
