Summary
Our team at Paragon Land Pros is looking to hire an Accounting Assistant who will work closely with Reef’s internal accounting team to oversee accounting and finance needs for Paragon’s operations. The Accounting Assistant provides essential support to the finance department by performing daily accounting tasks, maintaining financial records, and assisting with the preparation of reports. This role ensures accuracy, efficiency, and timeliness in financial operations and helps keep the organization’s financial processes running smoothly.
Responsibilities- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice entry, payment processing, and customer/vendor follow-up.
- Maintain and update accounting records, spreadsheets, and databases.
- Perform bank, credit card, and account reconciliations.
- Support month‑end and year‑end closing activities.
- Prepare and maintain financial reports and summaries as directed by management.
- Help process expense reports and verify supporting documentation.
- Manage filing, document organization, and digital record‑keeping for financial documents.
- Communicate with internal departments and external vendors to resolve discrepancies or gather documentation.
- Assist auditors by providing requested information and documentation.
- Perform general administrative tasks to support the finance team.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- 1‑3 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Quick Books, Sage, Net Suite) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
- Good organizational, time‑management, and multitasking abilities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information.
