Founding Account Executive role dsmith is a venture-backed, high-growth startup helping corporate learning teams. We are the first AI-native elearning authoring tool for creating custom elearning content. We are experiencing rapid growth and are seeking a proactive Account Executive to help us keep the pace and continue to grow.
About Mindsmith:
Mindsmith accelerates the creation of custom eLearning content using top AI models. Typically, creating one hour of eLearning content takes 200 hours. With Mindsmith, teams are finding 2-20x efficiency gains. Our vision goes beyond content creation; we are building the foundational AI infrastructure for all eLearning.
- Source and close new deals: revenue generation and pipeline building. Own the entire sales cycle from prospecting through demo, negotiation, and close.
- Process & Playbook Creation: help professionalize our sales process (CRM hygiene, pipeline review cadence, etc). Help establish the “sales culture” at Mindsmith by setting early norms for responsiveness, professionalism, and creativity.
- Customer Discovery & Feedback: capture insights from prospects and share with product and leadership; provide feedback on pricing, packaging, and messaging based on conversations.
- Collaboration:
work closely with marketing, customer success and product teams.
- You think and operate like a founder: high agency, integrity, and ownership. You don’t over-index on past experience and are willing to experiment with new, scrappy approaches.
- You're data-driven: skilled in analyzing customer metrics to proactively address potential issues.

- We see two archetypes for this role:
- More senior, strategic, but comfortable as an individual contributor who can sell and relay feedback to product and the broader team; likely to stay senior and build out the team as the motion scales.
- Scrappy, hungry, early-career, high-potential individual contributor who we train and grow with the company.
- Experience as a top-performing AE
- Comfortable presenting to senior stakeholders and executives; you’ll be working with some large companies.
- Bonus: background in eLearning, SaaS startups, and/or enterprise accounts.
- Competitive salary based on experience (OTE 120K-180K)
