Job Description SummaryPerforms budgeting, planning, and analysis activities for sales operations. Reviews capital expenditures and analyzes sales-related expenses associated with such things as the order pipeline, bookings, revenue forecasting, revenue reporting, sales productivity and goal attainment. Performs regular variance analysis for expenses and budgets. Evaluates pricing structures to ensure fit with company objectives. Effectively incorporates client delivery schedules and operational changes into future revenue forecasts and revenue timeline considerations.
Maintains and enhances sales force automation systems, product/service costing models, and margin management tools/systems to effectively monitor and manage revenue/expenses. May develop sales quote tools.
The Opportunity
Adobe is looking for a Sales Operations Manager (SOM) to join our Americas Sales Operations team, supporting our Industry Led organization. SOMs work directly with field leadership teams, providing timely analytics and business insights to drive successful performance against established KPIs. We are trusted business advisors that serve as critical members of our field organizations, driving operational rigor, go-to-market planning and execution.
The ideal candidate will have a background in data & analytics, building complex Excel models and leveraging BI reporting while being able to effectively communicate with executive leaders to inspire change and performance to company targets.
- Work as a key member of the field leadership team, providing timely sales analytics including weekly pipeline analysis, forecasting, and sales results
- Drive business change by developing a keen understanding of the business, identifying core focus areas through data driven insights, and building trust with business partners
- Partner with the field to craft and establish GTM strategy, own the modeling and implementation of sales territories and quota setting
- Actively identify operational issues and design solutions to make business flow better for the sales teams
- Work closely with other SOMs to share knowledge, methodologies and facilitate standardization across the field organization
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance or related field; MBA preferred, but not required
- 5-10 years related work experience in Sales, Sales Operations, Sales Strategy, Go-to-Market or interlinked functions, ideally in the software industry
- Strong strategy, planning, organizational and multitasking skills
- Solid mathematical aptitude and ability to turn data into insights & actions
- A problem solver with the ability to identify solutions to complex business issues
- Must be self-managed, responsive and able to work in a virtual team environment
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills required, especially Excel & Power Point
- Intellectual curiosity, hands‑on mentality, and phenomenal attention to detail
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $106,100 -- $220,650 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.
In California, the pay range for this position is $152,400 - $220,650.
