About the role

The Sales & Marketing Director is responsible for driving revenue growth and enhancing brand visibility for independent and branded properties through strategic sales initiatives and integrated marketing campaigns. This role combines proactive sales outreach with innovative marketing strategies to maximize occupancy, ADR, and overall profitability. The manager will collaborate closely with property teams, revenue management, and ownership to ensure alignment across all commercial functions.

What

you'll do
  • Conduct proactive prospecting via phone, email, and digital platforms.
  • Target key segments include Tour Groups, SMERF accounts, and other group business opportunities.
  • Qualify leads and maintain accurate records in CRM (Hub Spot).
  • Monitor and submit RFPs through platforms such as Cvent, Meeting Broker, and Engine.
  • Negotiate rates and packages aligned with property goals.
  • Drive bookings for both transient and group segments.
  • Deliver bi-weekly performance reports detailing pipeline status, activities, and revenue impact.
  • Provide monthly revenue summaries and quarterly strategic reviews with actionable recommendations.
  • Coordinate with on-property teams to ensure operational alignment and guest experience consistency.
  • Participate in revenue strategy calls (minimum two per month) with revenue management teams.
Marketing Responsibilities
  • Manage paid advertising campaigns targeting groups, weddings, corporate travelers, and small business segments.
  • Assist with paid media campaigns and social efforts, including keyword research, creative development, and A/B testing.
  • Align marketing strategies with forecasted need dates, promotions, and market opportunities.
  • Consolidate marketing, sales, and revenue data into unified dashboards and reports for properties and stakeholders (SMART Platform).
  • Develop monthly analytics reports highlighting performance, opportunities, and next steps.
  • Create and manage corporate social media content calendars.
  • Produce blogs, landing pages, and SEO-optimized articles to enhance organic visibility.
  • Capture and curate photo/video assets for campaigns.
  • Build scalable processes including content calendars, templates, SOPs, and brand standards.
  • Maintain SharePoint as a centralized asset library for creative materials.
  • Provide monthly sentiment reports and collaborate with GMs to address guest feedback.
  • Design digital and print collaterals such as flyers, rack cards, and sales packets.
  • Support group sales teams with outreach materials and digital assets for targeted segments.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or Hospitality Management.
  • 5+ years of experience in hospitality sales and marketing roles.
  • Strong understanding of CRM systems (Hub Spot), paid media platforms, and analytics tools.
  • Proven ability to drive revenue growth and manage multi-channel marketing campaigns.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate across departments.
