Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the development and launch of our next generation of consumer products. You will sit at the center of the organization, acting as the bridge between Engineering, Product, Regulatory, Marketing, and Operations.
The ideal candidate has a proven track record of taking physical consumer goods from concept to mass production. Experience with consumer‑grade medical devices (FDA Class I or II) is highly preferred. You understand how to balance the agility required for consumer markets with the rigor required for medical compliance. You have had experience working with factories in China.
Key Responsibilities- End‑to‑End Product Launch:
Own the project timeline from ideation through development, regulatory approval, manufacturing, and on‑time commercial launch, project post‑mortems. - Cross‑Functional Leadership:
Coordinate efforts between Design, Engineering (Hardware/Software), Regulatory Affairs, Supply Chain, and Marketing to ensure alignment on project goals. - Regulatory & Compliance:
Work closely with Quality/Regulatory team to ensure all product development activities comply with relevant standards (e.g., CE, FCC, FDA, ISO 13485) without sacrificing speed‑to‑market. - Risk Management:
Proactively identify project risks (supply chain delays, certification hurdles, scope creep) and develop mitigation strategies. - Resource Management:
Manage project budgets, resource allocation, and vendor relationships to ensure on‑time and on‑budget delivery. - Go‑to‑Market Execution:
Partner with Marketing and Sales to ensure the product is successfully handed off for commercial launch, including packaging, logistics, and channel strategy.
- Experience:
5+ years of Project Management experience in Physical Consumer Goods (Hardware/Electronics). - Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Life Sciences, or a related field. PMP certification is a plus. - Industry Focus:
Direct experience launching consumer‑grade medical products (wearables, health monitors, wellness devices) is strongly preferred. - Technical Familiarity:
Solid understanding of the hardware development lifecycle (EVT, DVT, PVT) and manufacturing processes. - Regulatory Knowledge:
Familiarity with FDA requirements for Class I and Class II medical devices and general consumer safety standards (UL, CE, FCC). - Tools:
Proficiency in project management software (Wrike, Jira, Asana, Microsoft Project, or Smartsheet). - Travel:
Occasional travel to Asia may be required for this role.
