Job Description & How to Apply Below

Overview

Family Haven (formerly Family Support & Treatment Center) is a local nonprofit organization with a mission to build a community of happy, healthy individuals and families through the prevention and treatment of child abuse, trauma, and other family and personal concerns.

We are looking for a MALE therapist who can work two days a week (T/Th) in our Lehi office and the remaining time in our Orem office.

We provide counseling for children, teens, adults, couples, and families whose lives have been affected by child abuse, trauma, or personal and family issues. Our therapy is tailored to individual needs and includes various evidence-based methods suitable for both children and adults, such as play therapy, sandtray therapy, art therapy, EMDR, TFCBT, and more.

Our clinical team includes LCSW, RPT-S and EMDR certified therapists who provide excellent supervision to new therapists working toward licensure and/or RPT credentialing. We offer many accessibility programs to the community so all our billing and scheduling is done in-house. You would be working from a private office in a very home-like, friendly environment.

We seek to support individuals with the ability to work in a way that fits with their personal lives and encourages wellness.

Responsibilities & Benefits
  • Flexibility in setting your work hours and/or weekly schedule.
  • Support in your professional development, including internal training and a budget for external training or certification.
  • 28 clients and 9 note hours in a 40 hour workweek.
  • No billable requirements.
  • Weekly 2-hour clinical meeting for staffing cases with the entire team.
  • We pay for 100% of your health insurance premium.
  • We contribute to your HSA.
  • We pay for 75% of your dental insurance premium.
  • We offer a 403(b) retirement plan with matching available.
  • We pay for your long term and short term disability insurance.
  • Total PTO of 30-32 days annually.
What’s In It For You?

As told by current and past employees and interns

  • “FSTC is filled with resources. Four playrooms, a game closet, an art room, two group rooms, and a sand tray room. There’s also a nursery to accommodate clients who need some respite time or somewhere for their children to be during therapy.”
  • “I have learned more about treating trauma here than anywhere else.”
  • “A very strong and supportive clinical team. It’s easy to feel like a part of the team and the staff is so welcoming.”
  • “If you’re looking for good supervision, look no further. Working at FSTC is an excellent opportunity for lots of hands-on training and one-on-one supervision.”
  • “Opportunity to practice play therapy and to learn from Registered Play Therapy Supervisors.”
  • “The philosophy and approach of FSTC is so client-centered, always focused on the person.”
  • “The work culture is more about the person than the employee. There is a sense of family.”
  • “Warm, accepting, and growth-promoting environment. Opportunity to receive extensive support and supervision.”
Qualifications
  • CSW, LCSW, or LMFT.
  • Trained or willing to train in Play Therapy and other trauma-focused approaches.
