EXPERIENCE

Project Manager Aug. 2015 – Current

  • Assist project director and preconstruction manager in development of program level ventures including review and approve all deliverables; estimate, GCs, GRs, schedule, risk factors, logistics, contract terms, fee opportunities, labor
  • Mentor project team members in understanding, acclimating to, and performing in a campus level program
  • Actively assess risk and implement strategies to avoid or mitigate risks in terms of quality, safety, and budget from project development through execution
  • Effectively lead preconstruction and buyout process through 30/60/90 design review, bid manual preparation, bidding, bid evaluation and recap, subcontractor selection, and subcontract issuance
  • Ensure accurate procurement tracking to support project schedule and ensure implementation of all processes on project according to current company policy
  • Actively support Superintendent in implementing and maintaining a safety culture on site.
  • Lead team in designing and facilitating the project execution plan in alignment with client expectations
  • Assist project director in interviewing and hiring qualified personnel including project manager, superintendent, project engineer, and project assistant level positions
  • Prepare and prosecute subcontracts to ensure alignment with project documents, specifications, safety standards and project execution plan
  • Proactively safeguard owner and contractor interests through timely management of financial exposures, cash flow analysis, change orders, identified risks, and schedule maintenance
  • Guide team in developing and maintaining project schedule through lean delivery pull-planning, regular scheduled updates, accurate procurement tracking, and holding team members accountable to commitments
  • Consistently lead team in building and maintaining relationships with clients, subcontractors, and vendors by modeling strong customer service, effective conflict resolution, and mentorship opportunities
  • Effectively manage operations and QC teams through project milestones
  • Regularly review contract documents and specifications for long and short-term planning, strategy implementation, and risk mitigation
  • Facilitate intergroup coordination through pre-construction meetings, pre-installation conferences, OAC meetings, and multi-trade/scope coordination meetings
  • Critically inspect in-place work for adherence to design documents, code, and proper building standards
  • Identify contract and product issues and facilitate resolutions via coordination with operations & design teams
  • Assess job site safety and environmental procedures and practices for adherence to company culture and requirements, Owner expectations, and governmental regulations. Facilitate corrections as needed
  • Act as liaison to local school districts to provide intern and industry education to students and develop future field employee

  • Effectively manage operations and QC teams through project milestones on high value contracts ($25-40 mil)
  • Regularly review contract documents and specifications for long and short term planning, implementation, and additional profit opportunities
  • Accurately prepare, process, and manage change orders, invoices, purchase orders, and project costs
  • Successfully administer coordination meetings: pre-construction, pre-install, OAC, and trade coordination
