Role Description
We are seeking a full-time Sales Development Representative to join our team on-site in Phoenix, AZ. The role involves identifying and generating new business opportunities through lead generation, engaging potential customers, and initiating sales conversations. Daily responsibilities include building relationships with prospective clients, qualifying leads, and handing off qualified opportunities to the sales team for closure. This is a high-activity outbound role designed for someone who enjoys prospecting, structured execution, and measurable performance.
You will work directly with sales leadership, have access to a large lead database, and be expected to own your pipeline.
What Success Looks Like
- Consistently meeting or exceeding demo and conversation targets
- Clear, detailed, and accurate notes in Hub Spot
- Strong ability to identify where Ruck is winning by vertical or supplier type
- Clear articulation of why raw material suppliers should use Ruck
- Coachable mindset and willingness to improve through feedback
- Ownership of the SDR role and pride in performance
Responsibilities
- Make 80–100 outbound dials per day
- Identify and engage owners, yard managers, inventory managers, and other key decision makers
- Diagnose pain points related to quoting, ordering, websites, and Shopify workflows
- Accurately document activity, notes, and dispositions in Hub Spot
- Manage and prioritize a pipeline of 200+ accounts
- Set clean, well-qualified meetings for Account Executives with strong show rates
- Track outcomes including demo set, not a fit, and follow-up required, etc.
- Participate in weekly one-on-one meetings with the Sales Manager
- Ramp to at least 1 demo per day within the first two weeks
Weekly Performance Targets
- 100 meaningful conversations
- Consistent demo volume supported by daily outreach
- Strong pipeline hygiene and follow-through
Ideal Background
- Proficient in Inside Sales and Lead Generation techniques
- Strong Communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with prospects effectively
- Understanding of Sales methods and the ability to support Business Development initiatives
- Highly motivated, goal-oriented, and organized individual
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic team environment
- Door-to-door sales experience (required)
- Call center or high-volume outbound sales experience
- Blue-collar or trade-adjacent background strongly preferred
- Strong pattern recognition for uncovering pain points
- Comfortable working toward leaderboards and performance goals
- Clear, confident communicator with strong organizational skills
Compensation
- Spiffs: $100 per completed demo that results in a signed contract
- On-Target Earnings: $65,000 uncapped commissions
