As a Business Development Representative, you’ll aid companies in starting strong relationships with new customers from the very start— while receiving personalized coaching, skill-building, and career support through the SV Academy Residency.
About the Employer PartnerOur hiring partner aims to replace traditional project management and communication tools with a more tailored solution for onboarding teams. Its focus is on enabling businesses to onboard new customers effectively while ensuring transparency, collaboration, and alignment between internal teams and clients.
About the RoleAs a Business Development Representative (BDR), you will play a pivotal role in the sales pipeline by identifying and qualifying new business opportunities. This is a high-impact, outbound-focused role where you will be responsible for connecting with prospective customers,understanding their challenges, and sparking their interest in the company’s platform. You’ll work closely with the sales and marketing teams to drive lead generation efforts and contribute to the company's growth.
Key Responsibilities- Prospecting:
Research and identify potential customers through various channels, including Linked In, email, and industry events. - Outreach:
Engage with prospects via email, phone, and social media to create awareness about our solutions and schedule discovery meetings. - Qualification:
Conduct initial discovery calls to assess prospects' needs, pain points, and alignment with our offerings. - Collaboration:
Partner with Account Executives to transition qualified leads, ensuring a seamless handoff and superior customer experience. - CRM Management:
Maintain accurate records of prospect interactions and activity in salesforce - Market Insights:
Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer pain points to tailor your outreach efforts.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 1-2+ years of Business Development or Business Development experience preferred
- Experience with , Salesloft, Linked In Sales Navigator (preferred)
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to think quickly, identify and quantify revenue
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong work ethic with a desire to build a career in sales
- Natural entrepreneurial spirit, curiosity to learn, and ambition to succeed
