Assistant Management Accountant – Maternity Cover (9–12 Months) | Leicester | £35,000 – £40,000 | Hybrid: 2 days onsite per week | Start:

Reporting to the Management Accountant, you will support the month‑end and reporting process while playing a key role in maintaining accurate financial information. Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with preparation of monthly management accounts
• Posting journals, accruals, and prepayments
• Supporting balance sheet reconciliations
• Assisting with KPI reporting and variance analysis
• Maintaining financial records and ensuring data accuracy
• Supporting budgeting and forecasting cycles
• Working closely with internal departments to resolve queries
• Assisting with year‑end audit preparation

We’re looking for someone who:

• Is confident with Excel and comfortable working with financial data
• Has excellent attention to detail and enjoys improving processes
• Can work independently and as part of a team
• Is available to start immediately

Part‑qualified or studying (AAT/ACCA/CIMA) is desirable but not essential.

• £35,000 – £40,000 salary (dependent on experience)
• Hybrid working – two days onsite in Leicester
