Head of Accounting

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established organisation based in North Oxfordshire who are seeking an experienced Head of Accounting to lead its accounting function and play a key role within the finance leadership team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified finance professional to take ownership of statutory reporting, financial controls, audit management and compliance, while leading a small accounting team.

You'll be responsible for ensuring accurate monthly and year-end reporting, maintaining compliance with UK GAAP, IFRS and FRS
102, overseeing tax and VAT reporting, and driving continuous improvements to financial systems, processes and controls.

Key requirements:

ACA or ACCA qualified. Strong technical accounting knowledge, including UK GAAP, IFRS and FRS
102. Proven experience using SAP. Previous leadership experience within an accounting or finance function. Experience managing statutory accounts, external audits, tax reporting and financial controls. Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships across the business and influence stakeholders. Proactive, organised and committed to delivering high-quality financial reporting and continuous process improvement. Must have the right to work in the UK and be eligible to obtain UK Security Clearance (SC).
