MOT TESTER / SERVICE TECHNICIAN

Hedin Automotive BMW & MINI is looking for a MOT Tester or Service Technician to join our Ruxley Centre. You will work alongside a fantastic, dedicated service team and will work from a state‑of‑the‑art workshop. As an MOT Tester and Service Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring vehicles meet safety and environmental standards by conducting MOT tests, performing detailed service inspections, diagnosing faults, and repairing or replacing worn or malfunctioning components while maintaining high standards of workmanship, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

• Conducting MOT inspections and repairs in accordance with BMW and DVSA standards
• Perform thorough inspections of vehicles, including brakes, suspension, exhaust systems, and emissions
• Perform servicing and maintenance of vehicles in accordance with BMW/MINI UK standards
• Identify, report, and rectify any faults accurately
• Maintain accurate records of test results
• Deliver high standards of technical advice, service, and maintenance to all customers

• Valid MOT Tester qualification
• Level 2/3 Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or ATA qualification (or equivalent)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proven experience working on vehicle servicing, maintenance and repairs, either in a dealership or independent garage
• Valid clean UK driving licence and eligibility to work in the UK

Basic salary £27,500 to £28,000 with an OTE of up to £39,600 plus per annum.
Monday – Friday, 8 am to 5 pm with 8 am to 12:30 pm on Saturdays on a 1 in 4 rota basis, paid as overtime.
