Commercial Performance Analyst – Home Claims

Role OverviewAs a Commercial Performance Analyst within Home Claims, you’ll be a critical partner to our Commercial Managers, enabling data‑driven decision making and unlocking value through insight, analytics and technology. You’ll sit at the heart of the Commercial function, translating complex data into actionable insight that drives improvements in cost, operational performance and customer outcomes. You’ll also play a key role in advancing the use of data, automation and AI to create a more efficient, scalable and market‑leading Home Claims model.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the development of performance insight across Home Claims, ensuring clear visibility of key drivers of cost, leakage, supplier performance and customer outcomes.
- Use SQL and Snowflake to source, structure and analyse large and complex datasets, ensuring data is accurate, accessible and optimised for analysis.
- Identify and quantify value creation opportunities through deep dives and advanced analytics, supporting Commercial Managers in prioritising and delivering initiatives and providing robust analysis and tracking performance.
- Apply advanced analytical techniques, including AI and predictive modelling, to improve forecasting, triage, reserving and cost control.
- Partner across Commercial, Operations, Supplier and Analytics teams to align data, insight and delivery, and through the use of MI enable challenge, optimisation and improved commercial outcomes.
- Drive continuous improvement in data quality, data structures and reporting automation to enhance efficiencies and reduce manual effort.
- Strong technical capability including SQL, data platforms (Snowflake) and experience of using data visualisation tools (PowerBI) to present insights clearly and effectively.
- Proven experience in data analysis within a commercial, operational or claims environment – ideally within Home Claims or insurance.
- Strong commercial mindset – able to demonstrate linking analysis to tangible business outcomes such as cost reduction, efficiency and customer experience improvement.
- Strong stakeholder engagement with the ability to influence across a matrix organisation.
- Genuinely curious – with a real interest in applying AI, automation and new analytical techniques to improve performance.
