Embassy Summer, under its parent company EC English, offers award‑winning summer vacation programmes for young people across multiple locations in the UK, Malta, Spain, South Africa & UAE. Students learn English or Spanish while immersing themselves in the local culture and surroundings. Our programmes combine language classes, exciting excursions and fun‑filled sporting, creative and social activities.

Position SummaryAs an Activity Leader, you’ll be the one making things happen! You’ll lead games, trips, and activities, get everyone involved, and make sure every student has an amazing, safe, and unforgettable experience. Think energy, teamwork, and positive vibes all the way.

- Get stuck in — chat, laugh, and make sure every student feels included.
- Help make every student’s experience one they’ll never forget.
- Be there for your students — keep them safe, supported, and happy.
- Make sure every activity and trip runs safely and smoothly.

You’ll be expected to follow the company’s Code of Conduct and any local policies that cover academics, welfare, and safeguarding. You’ll also stick to all health & safety rules, complete required training and follow any control measures from risk assessments.
Education RequiredCompleted A‑Levels or equivalent.
Extra Qualifications (Nice to Have)- A valid First Aid Certificate
- Any specialism in sports coaching, drama, or dance
- No previous work experience? No problem! We’re looking for people with common sense, great communication skills, and a positive attitude. You’ll get full training to do the job well.
- Experience at a summer school, especially with people from different cultures
- Background or qualification in hospitality or customer service
- Experience in sports coaching, drama, or dance
- Fun, engaging, and can engage others – especially teenagers
- Communicates clearly and confidently
- Organised and able to plan ahead
- Can handle challenges and think on their feet
- Stays calm and focused under pressure
- Builds positive, professional relationships with young people
- Shows resilience and can manage tough situations
- Has a positive attitude and balances fun with maintaining respect and discipline
- 6 days out of 7 (1 day off per week)
- 42 hours per week
Gross weekly pay: £600.13 (Basic weekly pay: £535.50 + Holiday pay: £64.63). Full board residential accommodation included.
Staff UniformAll staff are required to wear the designated company uniform while on duty. Employees must ensure the uniform is worn properly, maintained in a clean and presentable condition, and always adheres to the company’s dress code standards.
Disclosure and Barring ServiceIf you do not have an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring certificate and are not registered on the DBS update service, we will need to apply for a new Enhanced DBS for you. Please confirm this at the time of application.
