Carrier Tender Manager

We are an award‑winning 4PL consultancy group based on the outskirts of Leicester offering dynamic transport‑management solutions to a very high‑profile client base. We have an excellent range of systems and solutions that enable companies to save on their transport spend, and our in‑house design and development IT team can take concepts from idea to reality seamlessly and efficiently.

• Lead the tender management process for current supply activity and new opportunities across the UK and Europe.
• Lead the solution‑design process to maximise outcomes in terms of savings, efficiency and risk mitigation.
• Provide analysis support where required within the carrier management team.
• Ensure all carrier‑management procurement processes are adhered to by all members of the team.
• Minimise commercial risk by ensuring contractual agreements are in place with key suppliers.
• Work with key stakeholders to develop the category‑management process for applicable spend areas, including categorisation, data analysis, strategy creation and realisation of savings and efficiencies year on year.
• Implement a partnership approach with key suppliers.
• Network within the business to identify opportunities where the tender programme can deliver value and savings.
• Create and manage a rolling tender programme across all relevant customers, both UK and Europe.
• Provide leadership and support to the solution‑design phase of all active tenders.
• Provide analysis support to the carrier‑management team on activities outside the tender programme (e.g., benchmarking exercises).
• Project‑manage a range of projects that are financially and operationally beneficial to the company.
• Ensure that all savings generated through the carrier‑management team are recorded, whether they arise through the tender programme or other projects.
• Work with internal customers to understand their needs and deliver optimal solutions for the business.
• Ensure that, where appropriate, contracts provide suitable levels of risk mitigation and prevention.
• Work with the carrier‑management and service‑delivery team to ensure they can effectively monitor compliance with these agreements.
• Promote the corporate values of the company.

• Degree level education.
• Full driving licence.
• Language skills in French or German would be advantageous but are not essential.
