Health & Safety Principal Consultant

Join SOCOTEC as a Health & Safety Principal Consultant and play a key role in delivering high-quality compliance services that help clients manage risk, meet their legal obligations, and keep people safe.

As part of our growing Environment & Safety Division, you’ll provide professional consultancy services across a range of disciplines, with particular expertise in Health & Safety, Fire, Legionella and/or Training. You’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality client services in accordance with SOCOTEC’s policies, procedures and professional standards, while keeping up to date with relevant technical and legal developments to ensure our clients receive the highest standards of compliance support.

We’re looking for an experienced, proactive and dependable consultant who can work independently while supporting and developing colleagues across the team. You’ll be expected to maintain your professional qualifications, memberships and CPD, contribute to peer reviews and technical committees, and provide technical leadership within your areas of competence. • To deliver fee earning services at the highest level
• Clearly recognise the need to maintain and develop their professional skills and support consultancy team to achieve their potential
• Ensure that work is carried out in accordance with relevant instructions
• Responsible for the delivery of high quality compliance services to a number of clients of SOCOTEC and to ensure that all work delivered to clients complies with SOCOTEC’s group policies and procedures
• Specialise in the high-quality delivery of at least 2 but preferably 3 of the consultancy areas within SOCOTEC (H&S, Fire, Legionella, Training)
• Contribute to the on going technical and legal updates that affect services and client support to ensure that Socotec are delivering to the highest standards of compliance
• To ensure that all documents are submitted to the office in a timely fashion and ensure the highest standards of administration
