Role
A leading main contractor specialising in Cladding and Façade Remediation is seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to join their team in Leicester.
This role will see you take commercial leadership across a portfolio of remediation schemes, ensuring financial control, strategic contract management, and successful commercial delivery from pre-construction through to final account.
You’ll be joining a rapidly growing, highly reputable contractor operating at the forefront of the remediation sector, offering strong career progression and long-term stability.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the commercial function across multiple cladding remediation projects.
* Manage cost planning, budgeting, forecasting, and cashflow control.
* Oversee procurement of subcontractors, materials, and specialist cladding packages.
* Ensure robust contract administration including NEC/JCT forms.
* Identify and manage risks, opportunities, variations, and claims.
* Support project teams to ensure projects are delivered on budget and to the required commercial standards.
* Prepare monthly CVRs, valuations, and financial reports for senior leadership.
* Build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
* Provide mentoring and guidance to QS teams as required.
Key Requirements
* Proven experience as a Commercial Manager or Senior QS ready to step up.
* Background working for a main contractor (essential).
* Strong knowledge of cladding, façade, or remediation projects is highly desirable.
* Excellent understanding of NEC or JCT forms of contract.
* Strong commercial acumen with the ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously.
* Effective communicator with strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
* Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related field (preferred).
