About the Project
We are recruiting for a Resident Liaison Officer to support the delivery of a £12m refurbishment scheme at Freemens Meadow in Leicester.
The project involves the refurbishment of 7 occupied low-rise residential blocks, including External Wall Insulation (EWI) installation and works delivered under the Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund (SHDF). These works are focused on improving energy efficiency, enhancing living conditions, and reducing carbon emissions.
With residents remaining in their homes throughout the programme, effective communication and engagement will be critical to the project’s success.
The Role
As Resident Liaison Officer, you will act as the key link between residents, the client, and the site team.
Your role will be to ensure residents are fully informed, supported, and reassured throughout the works.
Key responsibilities include
* Acting as the primary point of contact for residents
* Communicating programme updates, access requirements, and upcoming works
* Organising resident meetings, drop-in sessions, and consultations
* Managing complaints and resolving concerns promptly and professionally
* Coordinating property access for surveys and installations
* Supporting vulnerable residents and identifying additional needs
* Keeping accurate records of resident communications
* Working closely with the Site Manager and client representatives
About You
We are looking for a confident, empathetic, and highly organised individual with experience working in occupied residential environments.
Essential
* Previous experience as a Resident Liaison Officer or in a customer-facing construction role
* Experience working on refurbishment, retrofit, or social housing projects
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Strong administrative and organisational abilities
* Ability to manage sensitive situations professionally
* Full UK driving licence
Desirable
* Experience on EWI or SHDF schemes
* Understanding of retrofit and decarbonisation works
* Knowledge of social housing environments
