ROLEAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and driven Quantity Surveyor to join a reputable construction consultancy in Leicester
. This role offers exposure to a diverse portfolio of projects across both pre- and post-contract stages, delivering professional cost and commercial services across a variety of sectors.
This position is ideal for an experienced Quantity Surveyor confident in managing commercial responsibilities, supporting successful project delivery, and building strong client relationships.
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will take responsibility for delivering cost management services across multiple construction projects, working independently and as part of a wider commercial team.
You will manage cost planning, procurement, contract administration, and financial reporting, ensuring projects are delivered within budget and aligned with client expectations. The role spans schemes from inception through to completion.
RESPONSIBILITIESKey responsibilities include:
- Managing pre- and post-contract cost management services
- Preparing cost plans, budgets, and financial reports
- Leading procurement processes and tender documentation
- Managing valuations, variations, and final accounts
- Monitoring project costs, forecasting, and cash flow
- Administering JCT and/or NEC contracts
- Supporting risk management and value engineering
- Maintaining strong client and stakeholder relationships
The ideal Quantity Surveyor will demonstrate:
- A degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline
- Consultancy or contractor experience
- Strong knowledge of JCT and/or NEC contracts
- Experience across residential, commercial, health, care, or industrial sectors
- Excellent commercial awareness and analytical skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Proactive approach with the ability to manage workloads independently
