Building Surveyor – Glasgow
Pick Everard is looking to appoint a Building Surveyor to join our dynamic team. The role is based in our Glasgow office and offers excellent training, hands‑on guidance and real opportunities for career progression.
Responsibilities- Run projects effectively, monitoring progress, expenditure and overall performance.
- Apply commercial awareness to support project resourcing and fee management.
- Provide technical input into bid preparation and wider business development activities.
- Undertake building surveys in accordance with company procedures and industry standards.
- Attend client meetings, presentations and site visits, representing the firm with professionalism.
- Monitor day‑to‑day programming and planning to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Track internal costs, prepare and issue fee invoices accurately and on time.
- Liaise directly with clients and key stakeholders, maintaining clear communication throughout.
- Develop and sustain long‑term client relationships built on trust and quality service.
- Check and review documents, reports and technical outputs to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Ensure full understanding and adherence to all Health & Safety requirements, practices and procedures.
- Ability to secure MOD / Police Vetting.
- RICS accredited degree of 2:1 or above in Building Surveying.
- Experience delivering projects in both public and private sectors.
- Knowledge of contract administration (JCT / NEC).
- Chartered status or actively working towards chartership.
- Solid understanding of building principles, with the ability to prepare detailed plans and specifications.
- Ability to monitor project progress and expenditure, providing clear reports.
