Senior Quantity Surveyor

Up to £75,000 + Car Allowance + Bonus + Excellent Benefits Permanent | Hybrid Working (3 days in the office)

Advance TRS is partnering with a leading rail infrastructure contractor to recruit an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their established commercial team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a long-term rail framework delivering a substantial programme of maintenance and renewals works, offering excellent job security and genuine career progression.

You’ll play a key role in maintaining commercial control across a busy portfolio of live rail projects, working closely with operational and commercial teams to manage costs, forecasting and reporting.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys the commercial management side of quantity surveying rather than a heavily contractual or claims‑focused role.

• Managing project costs across a live programme of rail works
• Budgeting, forecasting and cost reporting
• Identifying and managing commercial risks and cost escalation
• Reviewing and analysing cost data to support decision making
• Working collaboratively with operational teams to challenge and improve commercial performance
• Supporting the wider commercial team across a long-term infrastructure framework

We’re keen to speak with Quantity Surveyors who have:

• 5–10 years’ commercial/quantity surveying experience
• Experience with in rail, infrastructure or major construction projects
• Strong knowledge of NEC contracts
• Excellent cost reporting, forecasting and budget management skills
• Confidence to challenge stakeholders and drive commercial performance
• A proactive, organised and collaborative approach

• Salary up to £75,000
