Regulatory Compliance Specialist
Sellick Partnership are currently recruiting for an experienced Building Safety & Compliance Manager to join a leading social housing organisation on an interim basis.
This is an exciting opportunity for a building safety professional to lead on compliance, assurance and risk management across a varied residential property portfolio, including higher-risk and high-rise residential buildings.
Key Responsibilities of Building Safety, Fire and Compliance Manager:- Lead the delivery of building and fire safety compliance across residential housing stock
- Develop and maintain Building Safety Cases and associated assurance processes
- Oversee the Golden Thread of building safety information and regulatory reporting requirements
- Manage fire risk assessment programmes and remedial action plans
- Work closely with residents, contractors, consultants and regulatory bodies to promote a strong safety culture
- Provide strategic advice on building safety, fire safety and compliance matters
- Lead and develop a specialist building safety team
- Monitor compliance performance, safety risks and improvement programmes across the housing portfolio
- Experience managing building safety and fire safety within social housing, local government or a similar residential environment
- Strong knowledge of the Building Safety Act 2022, Fire Safety Order and associated legislation
- Experience developing safety case reports and managing higher-risk buildings
- A construction, surveying, building safety or compliance-related qualification to degree level or equivalent experience
- Experience managing contractors, consultants and compliance programmes
- NEBOSH qualification
- Knowledge of Northgate, Keystone or similar housing management systems
- Experience working with Building Safety Regulator requirements and resident engagement strategies.
